Mission and values
The mission of Narva College is to to act as the leading force driving the development of knowledge-based society and to be the guarantor of its continuity in Ida-Viru County, to serve the society trough study and research work, to offer its students the best opportunities for self-development and decent education, to help them apply their knowledge in the society; and to promote development of connections between various cultures in Estonia.
The College’s mission is supported by the following main values of the staff:
Loyalty. The College staff is dedicated and responsible people who respect students. They are caring colleagues; they go for the College’s positive image and continuing development. Each member of the staff does their best to handle problems as a team, to find a proper solution. We admit our mistakes and learn from them, and we put good ideas into action.
Competence. The College workers are qualified, best specialists in their fields who treasure the academic values and adhere to principles of life-long learning and self-perfection. They apply their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm in everyday work in order to provide students with better opportunities for learning and meet the needs of the society.
Innovativeness. The College staff have positive attitude to life, they develop organisation, do scientific work, update curricula and organisation of teaching. The teachers apply their knowledge, skills and methods which set new values and help to put in practice scientific achievements thus raising the College’s competitiveness and reliability in the society. By means of multicultural studying environment the College offers possibilities for connecting various groups within the Estonian society.
