The project is funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Estonian Development Cooperation programme
Ukraine is de facto a bilingual state, especially in the Eastern territories. However, the education system is currently desgined as monolingual in Ukrainian language and presents therefore challenges to Russian-speaking areas. The language issue is creating tensions in the society. The general aim of the project is to promote multilingual education model in Ukraine education system.
As a result of the project:
1) awareness about multilingual education model has risen among stakeholders of Zaporizhzhya region based on Estonian experiences;
2) Zaporizhzhya National University is prepared to provide CLIL methodology training for teachers;
3) Zaporizhzhya National University is trained to develop its own language strategy.
