Admission

University of Tartu Narva College is the main centre of higher education in North-Eastern Estonia with a focus on teacher training for multilingual schools. We also provide courses in youth work, entrepreneurship and, as our newest course, information technology. 

At Narva College, you can study as an exchange student or a degree-seeking student at bachelor's level.

All programmes at the bachelor’s level are taught in Estonian, but please note that you can apply for three of our bachelor’s programmes without knowing the Estonian language beforehand.

 

 

Bachelor’s programmes taught in Estonian with in-depth learning of the Estonian language for foreigners

International applicants applying for the curricula “Information Technology Systems Development”, “Languages and Multilingualism in School” or “Youth Work” do not have to know Estonian before applying, if they are prepared to complete 1-2 semesters of intensive Estonian courses before starting to take the courses of their curriculum. Applicants must provide proof of their Russian language proficiency at least at level B2.

Bachelor's and master's studies at the University of Tartu

Citizens of the Russian Federation who, under the legislation of the Republic of Estonia, cannot apply for a long-stay visa or residence permit to study or do not have a valid legal basis to stay in the Republic of Estonia until the end of the curriculum’s standard period of study are not eligible to apply to the University of Tartu in the 2023/2024 academic year.

 

According to the current legislation, citizens of Belarus can apply for Estonian long-term visa or temporary residence permit for studies and are therefore eligible to apply to the University of Tartu.
